Aldi has launched gift cards in all of its UK stores, allowing Brits to hand friends and family a gift card of up to £500.

The cards are contactless and plastic-free, and are located in the greeting cards section in Aldi’s more than 920 stores.

Customers can activate the cards at the till at the time of purchase with the amount of their choosing.

Recipients should present their gift card when paying for their shopping in store for the amount to be deducted from the total.

“The Aldi gift card is the perfect present for any Aldi fan, whether it goes towards their food shopping or that must-have item from our Specialbuys aisle,” Aldi managing director of buying, Julie Ashfield said.

“We hope customers enjoy giving the gift of Aldi to their friends and family.”
