Luxury department store Harvey Nichols has picked retail management firm Futura to handle all stock control and EPOS systems for its new franchised store in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The stores management chose Futura because of its “reliability”, “strength in stock control” and “multi-currency support.”

Futura has previously worked with Cath Kidston, The Conran Group and Oliver Bonas.

The firm will initially support 40 tills throughout the store with real-time management information to support core functions including buying and merchandise planning.

Graham Symes, independent financial consultant for the Licensee said the system gave total visibility of sales, margins, sell throughs, stock turns and inventory on one screen/page.

Harvey Nichols already has franchise branches in Kuwait, Turkey, China and Saudi Arabia and is tipped to move into South Africa soon.
