Wembley Park outlet centre London Designer Outlet has become a key retail destination for London, with footfall having surpassed those of key Wembley events.

According to a survey undertaken by LDO through third party Experian, footfall for 2015 is at 6.5m, an increase of 24% on 2014. This has driven a 25% surge in like-for-like sales this year.

“LDO‘s forecast footfall figures for 2015 show how the centre continues to go from strength-to-strength with growth of neatly 25% estimated by year-end,” said Sue Shepherd, Centre Manager of LDO.

LDO has capitalised on the number of events at Wembley by offering their shoppers key event tie-ins. This year, as a pre-cursor for their game at Wembley Stadium, NFL team Jacksonville Jaguars partnered with LDO, putting on entertainment, competitions and cheerleading demonstrations.

More people now visit Wembley for the LDO than they do for major events, cementing the outlet centre as a key destination for both Londoners and tourists and a key part of the areas redevelopment over recent years.

“The LDO has revolutionised the shopping and leisure facilities in Wembley Park and proved hugely popular with visitors across north-west London and far beyond.” Said Lead of Brent Council, Councillor Muhammed Butt.
