Amazon unveils branded cargo planes to increase control on deliveries

Amazon is taking steps to gain full control of its delivery process by unveiling the first of its 40 branded cargo planes.

The online retail giant‘s first branded “Prime Air” cargo plane, Amazon One, was revealed last Friday at the Seafair Air Show in Seattle to meet increasing demand for products ordered with free two-day shipping.

The fleet of 40 Boeing jets have been leased from Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings and Air Transport Services Group.

Eleven Prime Air planes are already delivering packages for Amazon customers in the US.
