Mamas & Papas appoints Neil Sumner as ecommerce and marketing boss

Mamas & Papas has hired Neil Sumner to lead its ecommerce and marketing teams as well as oversee the maternity and nursery chain‘s digital strategy.

The retailer said Sumner, whose position comes into effect on Wednesday when he begins, would work to create a digital-first approach and focus on personalisation and experience.

Prior to this appointment, Sumner worked at Kurt Geiger as its marketing and ecommerce head, where he rolled out the brand on to marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay and Alibaba‘s TMall.

He was the group digital director for global retail mall operator Value Retail.

Prior to retail, Sumner‘s career was mostly in publishing, where he had senior digital roles with Phaidon and Wallpaper.
