H &M‘s largest UK shop at Westfield Stratford is set to open next month, marking the start of a new “global flagship” for London.

Westfield Stratford City, one of Europe‘s largest shopping centres, is already home to an H&M store but it will relocate and expand into a full-concept, three-storey unit covering almost 55,000sq ft.

It is slated to open April 21.

The new flagship will not only be the largest H&M store in the UK, but also one of the fashion retailer‘s biggest in the world.

The new shop will sell all of H&M‘s collections across women‘s, men‘s, and kidswear, as well as homeware and beauty ranges.

“H&M are delighted to be expanding in Westfield Stratford,” H&M‘s country manager UK and IE Carlos Duarte said.

“The new store will become our largest in the UK and [Ireland], as well as a global flagship store.

“Westfield Stratford gives the brand an exciting opportunity to showcase our entire fashion offering to both new and existing customers.”

H&M was founded in 1947, but it wasn‘t until 1976 that it made its debut in the UK.

The high street chain now over 260 stores across the UK and Ireland, and more than 4100 worldwide.
