New Look has been signed on as a new anchor tenant as part of ongoing redevelopment plans for a west London shopping centre.

The fashion retailer signed a 20-year lease on a 10,000sq ft unit at Kings Mall Shopping Centre in Hammersmith taking the space left behind by coffee chain Starbucks and fashion retailer River Island.

The new New Look store will open around Christmas.

The shopping centre, operated by Schroder UK Real Estate Fund (SREF), has also signed on gym chain Frame on a 15-year lease and Italian cosmetics retailer KIKI Milano on a 10-year lease.

“At the forefront of our ongoing enhancement strategy across our Kings Mall estate is the goal of creating a scheme that encourages people to live, work and play in the area, enjoying the unique lifestyle, retail and leisure brands available to them,” SREF investment manager Harry Pickering said.

SREF acquired Kings Mall from the Matterhorn Palos Partnership for £153 million in 2015.

The company has since invested £10 million in redeveloping the shopping centre.
