H&M to open Glasgow flagship

H&M is preparing to open a new flagship store in the centre of Glasgow next week, stretching more than 49,500 sq ft.

The new store will open on 185 Buchanan Street on Thursday August 17, as shoppers are welcomed with a performance from the New York Brass Band.

When the doors open at 11am, the first 500 shoppers in the queue will receive a goodies bag and a 25 per cent discount for one item.

Meanwhile, any shoppers spending over £30 will be entitled to a free manicure at the retailer.

“With all H&M concepts available, including our ever-expansive Home collection, we are confident that our new Glasgow store will provide our customers with an excellent shopping experience,” H&M UK country manager Carlos Duarte said.

The news comes as H&M prepares to open its first Weekday fascia store in London‘s Regent Street just a day after its eponymous Scottish flagship. Weekday already has eight stores across the world.

H&M is also poised to open its first Arket fascia on Regent Street as well later this year.
