Burberry has been crowned the most popular British brand on Instagram for the second year in a row.
The luxury fashion retailer now has 10.4 million followers, an increase of two million from last year.
According to Iconosquare, who compiled the list, Burberry’s average engagement rate – which is the number of likes and comments divided by the number of followers – stands at 0.57 per cent.
The top five of the list was dominated by retailers, with Topshop, Jimmy Choo and Asos hot on Burberry’s heels with 9.2 million, 7.3 million and 6.6 million followers respectively.
However, their engagement rates are better than Burberry’s, at 0.86 per cent, 0.94 per cent and 0.8 per cent respectively.
Alexander McQueen and Stella McCartney also made the top 10, coming in at number six and nine respectively.
