Plus size fashion retailer Yours Clothing is celebrating a milestone after opening its 130th store last week on the back of continuing growth.
Located in Bromley, south London, the new store follows a very strong period of growth in the first half of the year.
In the six months ended July 30, overall sales were up 22 per cent to £41 million, gross margin increased 3.9 percentage points and profit before tax increased to £5 million.
Also during this period, Yours Clothing opened 16 new stores, launched its German ecommerce site, created a new app and added a new reserve in-store feature which allows customers to search store stock online and reserve the item for collection within an hour.
“Fashion is for everyone, regardless of size, and we are delighted that awareness of the Yours brand is growing and our products continue to resonate with both women and men,” Yours Clothing chief operating officer Resh Dorka said.
“Our stores are an integral part of our business as spaces to showcase our products and offer the excellent in-store service we know our customers really value.
“Our strong first half performance demonstrates the excellent momentum in the business and the increasing recognition of Yours as a go-to destination for great fitting, excellent value, fashionable plus size products.”
Yours Clothing said the plus size fashion market in the UK was worth more than £6 billion according, and its growth is expected to continue to outperform the overall UK fashion sector.
