Yours Clothing records “strong growth” amid investment drive

Yours Clothing has recorded “strong growth and momentum” in its annual report thanks to a store expansion drive and investment in multichannel services.

The plus size fashion retailer increased its revenue by 22 per cent to £88.3 million in the year to January 28, as it opened 30 new stores across the UK.

In addition, online sales rose by 26 per cent to account for 41 per cent of total sales while in-store sales grew 20 per cent.

Yours Clothing attributed its online growth to improvements to its platform and website content and the growing demand for its click and collect and order in-store options.

Overall, the retailer made a pre-tax profit of £6.6 million for the year, compared to loss of £1.9 million in the previous year.

“Yours Clothing delivered an excellent performance in the year ended 28 January 2018, ahead of our initial expectations,” Yours Clothing founder and chief executive Andrew Killingsworth said.

“This growth reflects the growing demand of our products and the strength of our omnichannel business model.”

Yours Clothing currently operates 135 stores throughout the UK, 10 internationally in addition to a number of websites in various different languages while shipping to more than 90 countries.
