YNAP poaches LMVH’s Olivier Schaeffer as new COO

Yoox Net-a-Porter (YNAP) has appointed former Sephora senior executive Olivier Schaeffer as its new group global chief operations officer (COO).

Schaeffer is due to start his new role on May 21 and will report directly to YNAP chief executive Federico Marchetti.

He will be responsible for leading all operations and technical activities across the group’s global network.

Prior to his appointment, Schaeffer spent 16 years at Sephora, a beauty retailer owned by luxury giant LVMH.

He is credited with leading a successful omnichannel expansion programme during his tenure.

“I am very happy to welcome Olivier to our team. We want to accelerate YNAP’s ambitious plans to grow globally,” Marchetti said.

“That’s why we asked Olivier to join us as Global COO. His decades of relevant experience are a perfect fit with our needs.

“Olivier will be a key asset to take us through this next phase of our growth”.
