Retailers face trouble as delivery complaints rise 203%

Retailers have faced a wave of complaints on problems relating to online shopping and package deliveries.

Complaints regarding online shopping has risen by 84 per cent in 2018-19 compared with 2017-18, according to MoneySavingExpert associate Resolver.

High street shopping complaints have risen by 39 per cent year-on-year, while package delivery complaints have surged by 203 per cent.

Resolver posted the five biggest areas of complaint in 2018-19, and the change compared with 2017-18:

1. PPI, -24 per cent

2. Flight delays and airlines, 14 per cent

3. Online shopping, 84 per cent

4. High street shopping, 39 per cent

5. Mobile phones, 57 per cent
