Asda has launched a new Christmas savings card ahead of the festive season to encourage customers to save money and collect bonuses.

In order to sign up, customers need to pick up a card in store and register it online in order to protect their money.

They will receive a card and a key fob that are linked to one another to keep their savings, and can then pay money into the account over four months which will see a bonus reward in November.

For every £30 customers save, they receive an extra £1 which will increase to £3 for every £80 saved, £6 for £130 saved, £9 for £180 saved, £12 for £230 saved and £15 for over £280 saved.

Asda aims for customers to spend their savings on Christmas shopping in its stores during the month of December.

The Big 4 grocer said customers can save up to £485 on their Christmas savings card.

They only need to save £280 on a card to result in a £15 bonus being rewarded, the equivalent of more than a five per cent bonus on top of their savings.

Kindly send me more insight into this, like to know more, design of the card and can somebody withdraw the money before chrismas.

  2. Iceland have been doing a savings card for years. For every £25 you save Iceland will give you £1 this is year round and not just for Christmas!

  3. This particular card was launched last year, and is actually just a revision of the savings card they have done for years.

  4. Can you put more than £280 on a card? I was informed AFTER I had put money on my card that I had gone over the £280. Does this mean that I have lost the amount of £20 (the extra amount). Previously I had been informed that I could put on more than the £280 but only the bonus of £15 was available.
