Iceland launches 1p sale on veg to help with cost-of-living crisis

// Iceland introduces 1p sale on its website as it seeks to offer low prices
// All fresh and frozen vegetables priced at £1 and under will drop to 1p from today until April 14

Iceland has launched a 1p online sale on all vegetables, as it looks to offer customers low prices amid rising inflation.

The offer means that all fresh and frozen vegetables priced at £1 and under will drop to just 1p from today until April 14.

Iceland launched a similar offering during Christmas, when it dropped the prices of its vegetables to 1p.

To take advantage of the offer, all customers need to do is add their chosen pack of Easter vegetables to their basket when online shopping and enter the code ‘ICE1VEG’ when they check out to receive their discount.

All fresh vegetables included in Iceland’s offer will have ‘Best Before’ dates that fall after Easter Sunday.

“Our 1p vegetable sale was so popular at Christmas, especially when so many other supermarkets hike up the prices of their roast ingredients, that we decided this was a no-brainer to run it again this Easter,” Iceland managing director, Richard Walker said.

“If we can help people who are feeling the pinch right now to save a few vital pennies while enjoying the same amazing quality of vegetables, then we’ll have done our job of being the supermarket that shoppers can rely on.”
