Tesco is offering free children’s meals with any purchase at its cafes during the school summer holidays, while Marks & Spencer has introduced a brand new kid’s breakfast menu with its ‘Kids Eat Free’ offer returning next week.
The retailers have introduced the initiatives to help families amid the cost-of-living crisis.
Tesco’s free meal, worth up to £3.25, is available to Clubcard holders with any item they buy at the retailer’s 311 cafes between 25 July and 26 August.
The cheapest item shoppers can buy to get Tesco’s special offer is a piece of fruit for 60p. Other low-cost menu items include a bottle of water for 85p, £1 biscuits, £2 bakery items and £1.80 breakfast tea.

Meanwhile, M&S has introduced a hot breakfast menu for the first time, alongside its hot and cold lunch menus, especially designed for kids.
Customers can pick up a Kids’ Munch Menu Breakfast main and drink, including pancakes with blueberries & honey or dippy egg & soldiers for only £2.95, or a Kids’ Munch Menu Lunch main, snack, and drink, including jacket potato with beans & sausages or a ham & cheese toastie for £3.95.
All kids’ meals are also eligible for a free piece of fruit (free for kids with any transaction in M&S Cafes).
