Aldi kicks off search for offical beer taster job

// Aldi is on the hunt for an official beer taster
// Candidates need to have a passion for beer and “pints of enthusiasm”

Discounter Aldi has begun the hunt for an official beer taster, who will get to review its new range of beers, lagers and cider.

The successful applicant will have a passion for beer and “pints of enthusiasm” as they will need to review the entire range, which launches on September 15.

The person appointed will receive a selection of beer in exchange for their views, which will be used to inform Aldi bosses ahead of its next range.

To be in with a chance of landing the role, all budding beer tasters need to send an email to Aldi explaining why they think they should be chosen for the role, as well as outlining what their favourite beer is and why.

Candidates should send the information to [email protected] along with their name, proof of age, and social media handles.

Aldi UK managing director of buying Julie Ashfield said: “We’re looking for someone with passion and excitement when it comes to craft ale, but who can honestly review our range and provide suggestions as to how we might improve it for next year. For beer lovers, this is the ultimate opportunity.”
