Harvey Nichols taps Sweaty Betty VP for ecommerce director role

Harvey Nichols has named the senior vice-president of ecommerce at Sweaty Betty as its new ecommerce director, Drapers reports.

Annabel Thorburn will join the luxury department store on 17 April, replacing interim ecommerce director Kate Smyth.

She was appointed as senior vice-president of ecommerce of Sweaty Betty back 2018 and has previously worked in consulting and technology roles at Tesco and digital agency Isobar.

She will report to chief executive Manju Malhotra in her new role.

Malhotra said: I am absolutely delighted that Annabel Thorburn will be joining Harvey Nichols as ecommerce director. Annabel brings a wealth of retail, leisure and consultancy experience, most recently at Sweaty Betty, and, I am sure, will make an extremely positive contribution alongside the rest of our board.
