// Joe Browns sales surged 19.5% in the month to 25 December 2022
// Menswear and home sales skyrocketed 35.2% and 27% respectively

Joe Browns celebrated a “robust Christmas” thanks to a strong demand for home and menswear.

Sales for the retailer surged 19.5% in the four weeks to 25 December 2022 with a solid performance across all its channels.

Menswear sales skyrocketed 35.2% due to popular demand for formal shirts and jackets while womenswear sales, the retailer’s largest category, were up 8.2% in the lead up to Christmas.

It’s home category also performed well with sales jumping 27% driven by a surging demand for bedding.

Joe Browns chief executive Peter Alecock said: “Against a challenging economic backdrop, the team has gone above and beyond and delivered robust sales in the run up to Christmas.

“I would like to take the opportunity to thank each and every one of my Joe Browns colleagues for their continuing hard work and dedication.

“External headwinds will be present throughout the coming year,” he warned. “That said, our focus remains on growth and I’m confident in our strategy to navigate.”

Last month, the fashion retailer said it was investing £2m in a warehouse upgrade to support its growth ambitions and increase pick face efficiency even further.
