Ocado slashes prices on over 100 everyday essentials

// Ocado says it has the “lowest milk price in the market” as it cuts prices on over 100 products
// The online grocer said more than 60 of the reductions reflect the recent price cuts made by M&S

Ocado has cut the price of over 100 everyday food essentials as it looks to increase its value offer.

The online grocer has reduced select items across its own brand, branded and M&S ranges by up to 25%.

Shoppers can save on popular items including Lurpak, Parmesan, bread rolls and milk – which Ocado said is now the “lowest milk price in the market”, with four-pints costing £1.45.

It said more than 60 of the reductions reflect the price cuts made by M&S on cupboard staples last week.

The move is in addition to the grocer’s Price Promise which launched earlier this year and compares prices against over 10,000 like-for-like products on Tesco.

Ocado Retail chief executive Hannah Gibson said: “Customers are at the heart of everything we do and we want to give them great value on the products which matter to them the most, whether that’s large brands, Ocado own-brand or M&S.

“Together with the Ocado Price Promise, cutting the prices of these 100 essentials means we’re even better value, alongside the service, range and quality which our customers love”.
