Clarks names former Under Armour exec as new MD

Clarks has hired Bob Neville as its new managing director for the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.

Neville will join the company in August, after spending 30 years in Hong Kong leading teams with brands including Under Armour, New Balance and Adidas.

The executive most recently served as Under Armour’s global vice president of retail.

Neville brings experience working throughout the Asia-Pacific region, with a particular focus on China and has a track record of leading profitable businesses.

The global business leader joins the retailer to activate its long-term strategy of sustainable growth and brand-strengthening.

Clarks CEO Jon Ram said: “As we look to build on our recent good company performance, Bob will play a leading role in delivering our strategic goals and growing our business in the UK & ROI.

“We will also build out our global retail centre of excellence under his leadership”.

Back in April, Clarks UK managing director Joe Ulloa stepped down from his role, having worked for the shoe retailer since 2017.

Chief executive Jon Ram filled in for the position while the business searched for a new director.
