LVMH named premium partner for Paris 2024 Olympic Games

LVMH has become a premium partner for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games as the luxury group looks to deepen its ties with sport.

The French conglomerate which owns Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Rimowa revealed its brands will roll out brand-specific initiatives for the event.

It said Sephora will sponsor the Olympic Torch relay and launch activations for the public along the relay route, meanwhile jeweller Chaumet will design the Olympic and Paralympic medals. French delegation will also be dressed by one of its “maisons”.

LVMH did not disclose the terms of the deal but it is estimated to be worth £129m (€150m), according to a person close to the negotiation.

“This unprecedented partnership with the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games will contribute to heightening the appeal of France around the world,” said chairman and chief executive Bernard Arnault.

“It was only natural that LVMH and its Maisons be part of this exceptional international event.

“Sports is a tremendous source of inspiration for our Maisons, which will unite creative excellence and athletic performance by contributing their savoir-faire and bold innovation to this extraordinary celebration.”
