Sainsbury’s has expanded its Nectar Prices promotion to include meat, fish and poultry for the first time.

The change means there are now around 3,500 products available at a discounted price through the grocer’s loyalty initiative.

From today, Nectar members will receive up to a third off selected own-branded and branded meat, fish and poultry items.

Sainsbury’s first introduced the loyalty initiative in April, offering exclusive discounts on selected household products, pet food and confectionery.

The supermarket extended its promotions last month to include dairy and bakery items, as well as fresh produce and ready meals.

As a result, Nectar card members have saved an average of £14.42 on their shop since its launch.
