// The change means there are now over 900 products available through the grocer’s loyalty scheme

Sainsbury’s has expanded its Nectar Prices initiative launched back in April to now offer discounts on dairy and bakery products, both in-store and online.

The change means there are now over 900 products available through Nectar Prices, spanning a range of categories, including health and beauty, confectionery and snacking, beers, wines and spirits, household, baby and pet and food cupboard items.

Products now included in the supermarket‘s Nectar Prices discounts feature a range of dairy products such as Cathedral City mature cheese (usually £4.75, Nectar Price £2.75), Philadelphia cheese (usually £2.20, Nectar Price £1), Yeo Valley organic semi skimmed milk (usually £2, Nectar Price £1) and Lurpak 500g butter (usually £5, Nectar Price £3.25).

Lower prices will also be available on a range of popular branded bakery products including Soreen fruit loaf (usually £1.50, Nectar Price £1) and Warburtons bagels (usually £1.85, Nectar Price £1).

Sainsbury’s confirmed that more products will continuously be added, ensuring all Nectar customers get great value on a wide range of items all-year round.

At the time of launching the new loyalty initiative, chief executive Simon Roberts said: “We are delighted to launch Nectar Prices, which will help millions of our customers save more on every trip to Sainsbury’s.

“There is much more to look forward to, we will keep refreshing Nectar Prices and increasing the variety of products on offer.

“It gets better, Nectar customers who shop in store with SmartShop will receive extra personalised value with Your Nectar Prices, bringing them the best prices on their favourite products.”

The grocery giant has just slashed the price of over 40 dairy products as it looks to support customers with the rising cost of living. The move allows shoppers to save up to 60% on popular dairy essentials including cheese, cream and yoghurts.
