Iceland sells 1p veg to shoppers over Christmas

Iceland is set to sell a range of frozen vegetables and fresh produce for just 1p in a bid to help their customers’ budgets go further this festive period.

The offer will run at the supermarket for two days from 21 December to 22 December.

The move comes as research commissioned by the retailer found 48% of Brits are worried about affording food shops in the lead up to Christmas.

The grocer is offering customers a code that will give them up to £1.99 off their order and allow them to pick up frozen vegetables and fresh produce including Keelings carrots, parsnips and broccoli for 1p.

The deal is available online to all Iceland shoppers with no minimum spend required, although usual delivery charges apply for same day or next day delivery.

Customers can redeem the code PENNY-VEG at checkout to access the deal.

Iceland Foods and The Food Warehouse executive chairman Richard Walker said: “We’re confident that our 1p online exclusive veg deal will be a big hit with customers, helping Christmas dinner budgets go further and lightening some of the financial pressures so they can enjoy the best festive period possible.”
