John Lewis Partnership has boosted its board as it hires Clare Swindell, who until last month was co-chief executive for National Lottery operator Camelot.
Swindell, who will also chair the company’s audit and risk committee, replaces ex-Hobbs boss Nicky Dulieu who stepped down from the board in December after seven months.
Prior to that she was the group CFO at Tesco’s customer data analytics company Dunnhumby after spending over 17 years at the grocery giant in it’s finance department.
She is also a non-executive director and audit committee chair at drinks brand Fever-Tree.

The partnership has also appointed Jane Hanson CBE as an independent external member of the audit and risk committee, who succeeds Sharon Fennessy who, in line with corporate governance good practice, will step down in April after over eight years on the board.
Hanson has over 30 years of experience in executive and non-executive director roles in consumer-focused, FTSE, regulated and not-for-profit boards in both the private and public sectors.
