In pictures: Sports Direct opens new Westfield Stratford store

Sports Direct has expanded its footprint in London with the opening of a new 20,000sq ft store at Westfield Stratford City.

The retailer said the two-storey site brings “a next-generation sports and lifestyle experience to East London”.

The new store features a range of sports and leisurewear from global brands including Nike, Adidas, Puma, Under Armour and New Balance.

Sports Direct Westfield Stratford houses the retailer’s Running and Outdoor concepts, as well as dedicated sections set out
for various sports categories.

Frasers group head of retail Lauren Barrie said: “As one of the world’s most dynamic sports markets, London continues to play a vital role in our strategy.

“The opening of our Westfield Stratford City store builds on the momentum from Oxford Street and White City and highlights our ambition to deliver cutting-edge retail experiences in key locations.”
