Hotel Chocolat has opened one of its largest stores to date at Manchester’s Arndale shopping centre.
The chocolate retailer’s new flagship launched this week after it signed a 10-year lease to occupy the 7,288sq ft unit.
The site includes a café space alongside its range of chocolate bars, hot drinks and gifts.
M&G Real Estate portfolio manager Scott Linard said: “At Manchester Arndale we pride ourselves on offering a varied F&B mix as we want to provide customers with a vibrant lineup of refreshing drinks and delicious food.
“It is also great to see another established brand select Manchester Arndale for one of its flagship stores.”
Global Mutual head of European retail asset management Steve Gray added: “Hotel Chocolat is an impressive brand which has taken chocolate in bold directions.
“We are proud to have cultivated a diverse tenant line-up at Manchester Arndale and are equally excited to add a flagship Hotel Chocolat store to this mix.”
It follows Hotel Chocolat’s announcement in May 2024 that it plans to open 20 new stores over the next 18 months as part of its ongoing investment in bricks and mortar.
The brand witnessed record UK sales over its latest key Christmas period, with revenues soaring 10.4% year on year for the 4 weeks to 29 December.
