Frasers Group chair of the board David Daly is stepping down from his role after eight years.
He will depart from his role at the company’s upcoming AGM on 24 September, after joining Frasers Group in 2017.
He spent more than nine years at Nike, working as a sales director from 2006 to 2011, before being promoted to become its senior director of club and federation business from 2011 to 2015.
The executive will be succeeded by former head of Britain’s audit watchdog Sir Jon Thompson.
Thompson has sat as a non-executive director of Frasers Group since June 2024. He previously served as the CEO of the Financial Reporting Council from October 2019 to July 2023.
Additionally, Frasers Group has announced the expected appointment of former PwC partner Andy Lyon as a non-executive director.
Frasers Group CEO Michael Murray said: “I would like to thank David for his outstanding leadership, guidance and the wealth of expertise he brought to the board, which has been instrumental in helping us deliver on our elevation strategy. We wish him all the very best for the future.
“I’m equally delighted to announce our proposed new appointment to the board with Andy, as well as Jon’s confirmed appointment to chair, as we enter the next phase of our strategy.
“Jon’s deep experience in corporate governance and strategic leadership will be invaluable as we continue to grow as a leading global retail business.”
The reshuffle comes after Frasers Group managing director of sport Ger Wright stepped down from her role in November, after joining the business in 2022.
