Kim Kardashian’s clothing and shapewear brand brand Skims has tapped longtime Michael Kors executive Robin Gendron as its first president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, ahead of a major regional rollout.
Gendron, who spent 15 years at Michael Kors, most recently as president of EMEA, will oversee the brand’s expansion in the region, including standalone stores in Dubai and London scheduled to open mid-2026.
The London location will occupy a 12,000sq ft unit on Regent Street, the former Ted Baker flagship, marking Skims’ first permanent UK store.
According to BOF, the brand also plans to enter several retailers across Switzerland, Turkey and Scotland, including Swiss department store Globus and luxury Turkish chain Beymen. A regional warehouse, launched earlier this year, will support the brand’s “high expectations for rapid scaling” across EMEA.
“Robin’s leadership will be instrumental in navigating complex markets,” said Jens Grede, co-founder and CEO of Skims.
Skims is also expanding its product offering. The brand is collaborating with Nike on a women’s activewear line, NikeSkims, which had been due to launch this spring but has been delayed due to production issues.
The initial drop is now expected later this year on both Nike and Skims websites, as well as select US stores, with a global rollout planned for 2026.
The appointment and retail expansion build on the shapewear giant’s ongoing global growth, which includes 16 new US stores this year — taking its domestic footprint to 22 — and five new locations in Mexico via a franchise partnership.
