Quality Street’s 1992 ‘Magic Moments’ ad is the most popular Christmas campaign of all time, according to online bookmakers OLGB.
The platform reviewed Google Search data to find the most beloved festive ad and the brands with the most popular marketing drive. OLGB found that Quality Street’s ad had racked up over 12,700 searches since 2021.
In second place was John Lewis’ 2015 marketing drive, ‘The Man on the Moon’ with 7010 views. Taking the third spot on the list was ‘Holidays Are Coming’, Coca-Cola’s 1995 offering.

John Lewis’ ‘The Bear and the Hare’ and ‘Monty the Penguin’ take places four and five respectively.
On its list of brands with the most popular Christmas ads, OLGB names John Lewis, Aldi and M&S as its top three, with John Lewis promotions accumulating over 1,280,460 searches since 2021.
Jake Ashton, Entertainment betting expert at OLBG said, “Over the past decade, brands have been battling it out to win the Christmas advert battle, with the likes of John Lewis and Coca-Cola spending millions on trying to capture the attention of the nation during the festive season.”
“Our research shows that there is one clear winner when it comes to creating the most engaging Christmas adverts, and that’s John Lewis. Over the past four years, Brits have searched for John Lewis’ Christmas adverts over 1.2 million times, which shows the impact the brand’s commercials have had on the nation.”
