Lululemon CEO Calvin McDonald is set to depart from the retailer in 2026, after seven years in the role.
McDonald will leave his position as CEO and member of the board of directors on 31 January, the sportswear chain revealed yesterday (11 December).
He is set to serve as senior advisor to the brand until 31 March 2026.
Lululemon is currently looking for its next chief executive.
Chief financial officer Meghan Frank and chief commercial officer André Maestrini will work as the brand’s interim co-CEOs until a successor is found.
Additionally, Lululemon chair of the board Marti Morfitt will work under the expanded position of executive chair during the leadership transition.
McDonald said: “Serving as CEO of Lululemon has been the highlight of my career, and I am incredibly proud of everything our team has accomplished over the last seven years.
“Together, we have transformed the athletic apparel industry and the opportunity ahead for lululemon is substantial.”
He continued: “I believe the outstanding product pipeline we’ve built, and action plan we’ve put into place, will yield positive results, and deliver value to shareholders in the months and years ahead.
“I am committed to fully supporting the transition and helping guide our leadership team in my advisory role as they execute against our strategy.”
