We’re back with another instalment of Absolute Best, this time on Retail Gazette.

This week we are going to take a look at some of the best pop-up stores and installations.

Clarins

First up on our list is beauty firm Clarin’s Sweet Stop.

The dessert-themed installation handed out complimentary flavoured matcha to visitors. Customers could also take part in a ‘Spin the Cake Mixer’ game, lip product tastings, and biscuit decorating.

Visitors also received branded macrons with every lip product purchase.

Magnolia Bakery x Glossier x Space NK

Beauty brand Glossier and retailer Space NK teamed up with New York City’s Magnolia Bakery to celebrate the launch of Glossier’s Banana Pudding Balm Dotcom at Space NK.

The installation brought the bakery’s banana pudding to the UK for the first time.

Consumers who purchased the lip balm received a free serving of the sweet treat.

Uniqlo

Next on our list is Uniqlo.

The Japanese clothing brand set up shop in a rather unique location, The Tate Modern, to celebrate the gallery’s 25th birthday.

Harrods

Luxury department store Harrods is next up.

The retailer launched ‘The Circus Comes to Town’ in multiple locations across the UK, including London, Edinburgh, Chester and Glasgow.

Shoppers could experience makeovers from Charlotte Tilbury and facials from Elemis. They could also take part in a game of ring toss from haircare brand Gisou.

Asos

Our final entry is Asos.

The online retailer launched a “premium” pop-up on London’s Carnaby Street.

The pop-up featured items from several of its brands, including Asos Collective,  AllSaints and TopShop.
