John Lewis has unveiled a “hilarious” content series starring actress and writer Daisy May Cooper, ahead of Mother’s Day 2026.
The new series highlights what mums actually want as gifts for Mother’s Day.
It follows Cooper as she shares her worst Mother’s Day gift: a DIY spa day. This included a jalapeño hummus facial and an eyebrow appointment, which involved a coating of black varnish over her brows.
She also highlights some gifts that would make her day, such as having a family member take the kids off her hands, a Shark CryoGlow Facemask, a Neom three-wick candle or noise-cancelling headphones (to drown out the kids).
Rosie Hanley, marketing director at John Lewis said: “Daisy May Cooper is loved for her real talk and we knew that we needed a dose of this trademark honesty to find out what mums really want this Mother’s Day.
“This content reminds us that when a gift can speak a thousand words, it’s best to avoid a DIY disaster or a last minute panic buy. Luckily, at John Lewis we’ve got the gifts that will actually make her day this Mother’s Day.”
The first episode in the series is available to view on John Lewis’s socials now.
