Co-op launches store in new Kennington residential development

Co-op has opened a store to serve a new residential development and the surrounding areas of Kennington, near Ashford. 

The new “Brook Court’s” Co-op, which opened on Harrison Lane, Kennington, launched on 12 June and has created 18 local jobs.

The convenience retailer’s store includes “an extensive range” and a choice of fresh and chilled products, an in-store bakery and a Costa Coffee Express. 

The grocery giant’s store also offers online home delivery of groceries via Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats.



Co-op area manager Ian Rowe said: “We’re delighted to invest in Kennington, and proud to launch Co-op’s newest store to serve and support the community. 

“The whole team is focused on becoming part of local community life. 

“Co-op is committed to backing high streets and communities and we have worked to ensure the store is a hub locally.” 

He continued: “We have a focus on offering quality products, value and choice that can be enjoyed by everyone, there are deals and promotions throughout the store and this sits alongside a range of added services to make everyday life easier for our community. 

“We are all really looking forward to welcoming our members and customers into their new-look Co-op – we’re here to serve and support the community, conveniently.”
