Pret A Manger has opened a new flagship shop in Heathrow Terminal 5, marking its ninth in the airport.
The launch represents “another milestone” in Pret’s “long-standing partnership with the world’s most connected airport,” according to the retailer.
Located in the terminal’s arrivals hall, the store will sell Pret’s full range of barista-prepared drinks and freshly made food, including super plates and protein pots.
The site is equipped with mobile handheld tills, helping the store’s 40 team members “quickly serve customers in this high footfall location”.
The store also has seating for 104 people.
The opening reflects the business’ “continued investment in travel locations across the UK”.
Pret has opened 158 shops globally in the last two years, including 86 in travel locations.
Pret A Manger CEO Pano Christou said: “Opening our new shop at Heathrow Terminal 5 Arrivals is another important milestone for Pret.
“Heathrow is one of the world’s most connected airports and an important long-term partner for us, so we’re delighted to be bringing our freshly made food and hot and cold barista-prepared drinks to even more customers travelling through the airport.”
Heathrow retail director Fraser Brown added: “We’re delighted to welcome Pret A Manger’s ninth location at Heathrow.
“As one of our most popular grab-and-go brands, Pret continues to provide our passengers with high-quality food that combines convenience with great value.
“Demand for ready-to-eat food and beverage options has grown significantly in recent years, and this latest opening reflects our commitment to evolving our retail offer to meet the needs of our passengers.”
