Co-op has opened a new circa 3,000 sq ft store on Fulham Palace Road in London.

The store, which opened on 21 August, sells the convenience giant’s range of fresh and healthy products, meal ideas, food to go, Fairtrade products, bakery, award winning chilled beers and wines, world foods and Costa coffee.

The shop has created 15 new jobs and includes a range of added services to “make everyday life easier for busy consumers and commuters”. These include payment services via PayPoint and parcel collection through DPD.

The store offers online home delivery of its groceries via the supermarket’s website and through Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat.

Soft plastic recycling is available in the store, enabling shoppers to return and recycle materials that are often not universally accepted via household kerbside recycling, such as crisp packets, bread bags, lids from ready meals, biscuit wrappers and pet food pouches.

Co-op’s area operations manager Sajid Ashraf said: “We are delighted to launch Co-op’s newest store – which looks fantastic as we open the doors today and welcome the community as they pop into their new Co-op.

“We invest to create local stores which are more than just a shop, they are a hub contributing to local life and meeting the needs of communities, with a focus on offering quality products, value and choice that can be enjoyed by everyone.

“There are great deals and promotions throughout the store, and a range of added services to make everyday life easier for the community.”

He added: “We’re proud to have the opportunity to serve Fulham Palace Road, and look forward to welcoming the community into their new Co-op.

“We’re here to contribute to local life and conveniently serve and support the community.”
