Somerset-founded footwear retailer Clarks has opened a new store at 11 Boulevard de la Madeleine in Paris.
The new location marks Clarks’ second store in Paris. The store is based in one of the city’s most prominent retail districts, close to Place de la Madeleine and the major shopping destinations of Boulevard Haussmann.
Its opening represents the latest step in Clarks’ strategy to increase its physical retail presence in France.
The shoe retailer is planning to open three further stores in the country before the end of 2026.
The Paris opening also forms part of a broader expansion programme from Clarks across Europe.
Clarks has opened or secured new locations in several key markets during 2026, including France, Italy, Spain, Belgium and the UK.
Recent openings include stores in Barcelona and Bilbao in Spain, as well as several new locations across Italy.
The company is pursuing growth through a combination of directly managed stores, wholesale distribution, franchise partnerships, ecommerce and marketplaces.
Its multichannel approach is designed to strengthen the brand’s presence in established markets while creating new opportunities to reach customers across the region.
Alongside its investment in physical retail, the footwear giant has expanded its European wholesale network.
For the autumn/winter 2026 season, Clarks began working with 120 new multi-brand accounts across Europe and the UK, supporting greater distribution of the brand through selected retail partners.
Clarks president UK and Europe Joe Ulloa said: “The opening of our new store on Boulevard de la Madeleine is an important moment for Clarks in France and a clear demonstration of our confidence in the market.
“Paris is one of the world’s most influential retail and fashion destinations, and this new location gives us an excellent platform from which to introduce more customers to the quality, comfort and design that have defined Clarks for more than 200 years.
“This is our second store in Paris, but it is only one part of our ambition for France.”
He continued: “With three further openings planned in the country this year, we are building a stronger retail network while also expanding through wholesale and other channels.
“France is central to our wider European growth plans, and we see significant potential to build a larger, more relevant and more accessible Clarks business here.”
