Donatella Versace teams up with Revolve to launch new fashion and beauty brand

FashionNews

Donatella Versace is returning to creative leadership with a new fashion and beauty venture alongside online fashion giant Revolve Group, with its first products set to launch in 2027.

The former Versace creative director has struck a joint venture with the US digital retailer to create an independent brand centred around her personal creative vision and aimed at a new generation of shoppers.

Versace will take the role of chief creative officer at the as-yet-unnamed business, overseeing its identity, products and collaborations, while Revolve will provide its ecommerce technology, consumer data, marketing and operational capabilities.

The brand is expected to make its debut in 2027, beginning with beauty before expanding into fashion. Its name and first products are due to be unveiled in the coming months.

It will initially launch across the US, Latin America, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, with additional markets potentially added at a later date. The companies have not yet announced plans for a UK or wider European launch.

Versace said: “This partnership gives me the freedom to speak to that generation in a completely new and personal way, through beauty and fashion.”

The deal marks Versace’s return to the creative driving seat around 18 months after she stepped down as chief creative officer of the fashion house founded by her brother Gianni.

She had led Versace’s creative direction for almost three decades before moving into the position of chief brand ambassador in March 2025.

Prada Group acquired Versace from Capri Holdings in 2025 for around €1.3bn, with former Alaïa creative director Pieter Mulier subsequently appointed to oversee the Italian fashion house’s creative direction.

Revolve co-founder and co-chief executive Michael Mente said the partnership would give Versace’s creative vision “an entirely new platform and the freedom to build something from the ground up”.
