Spanish fashion brand Mango has named Katarzyna Niemirowicz-Majtas as its new chief retail officer and member of the steering committee.
She is taking over from César de Vicente, who is leaving the firm to pursue a new opportunity.
Niemirowicz-Majtas will be responsible for leading Mango’s global retail and commercial operations, steering the companies 4E strategic plan and expanding its physical store portfolio.
Before joining Mango last May as international retail director, Niemirowicz-Majtas held a number of senior commercial roles at various companies in the fashion industry, including at H&M.
Katarzyna Niemirowicz-Majtas said: “I am taking on this new challenge with the goal of enhancing operational excellence, driving profitable growth across our commercial network, and elevating the experience of our MANGO customers worldwide, working hand in hand with an exceptional team.”
According to the retailer, her appointment “reinforces MANGO’s commitment to the “Empower” pillar of its 4E Strategic Plan”. The plan centres on attracting “top international talent to support the company’s growth ambitions”.
She will report directly to Mango’s chairman and CEO Toni Ruiz.
