Activewear brand is set to open its first store outside London, in the St James Quarter, Edinburgh.
This third UK site, with locations in Carnaby Street and at Westfield White City, is designed to showcase the brand’s full product range. It aims to offer customers an “immersive brand experience”, with a personalised service.
Sally Hughes-Daniels, Tala chief executive, said: “Expanding beyond London has long been in the works, but for our first step outside the capital it was so important that we found a location that felt a natural fit for Tala, and Edinburgh ticks every box.
“We already know we have a great Tala community in Edinburgh, and the city’s strong outdoor and active culture makes it the perfect place for us to put down roots.
“Bringing Tala to women all around the UK is one of our key goals, and we’re looking forward to Edinburgh marking the start of that IRL journey. We can’t wait to meet more of our community in person and become part of this historic city.”
The activewear brand, founded in 2019 by fitness entrepreneur and influencer Grace Beverley, reported revenues growing by 19 per cent to £19.8m in 2025.
However, despite the revenue boost the company’s operating loss came in at £2.6m for the year to 31 March 2025, compared to a £983,331 loss the year prior.
While it focuses on UK expansion, Tala has scaled back its US operations in the face of rising import tariffs.
The sportswear retailer completed a £4.6m series B fundraising in 2025, and transitioned to a new third-party logistics provider.
Tala has stressed it would continue to invest in product development, store launches and digital marketing.
