B&Q expands Deliveroo partnership and launches same-day trade delivery service

B&Q has expanded its Deliveroo partnership to more than 100 stores nationwide and launched a new same-day delivery service for trade customers.

The trade development introduced TradePoint Express in partnership with courier platform Gophr, allowing trade customers to receive products within two hours or book a two-hour delivery slot on the same day.

The service is available to TradePoint members through the standalone TradePoint store in Barking and 123 participating B&Q stores across the UK.

Deliveries are arranged through TradePoint business development managers, with the service expected to expand to further locations later this year.

Meanwhile, B&Q has extended its partnership with Deliveroo to more than 100 stores following a successful trial, giving customers access to over 9,000 home improvement products for delivery in as little as 35 minutes.

The partnership, which first launched in 2024, has grown in response to demand for faster access to DIY essentials, particularly for urgent repairs and last-minute projects.

B&Q supply and logistics director Amélie Gallichan-Todd said the expansion was an important step in offering customers greater flexibility.

She said: “We’re continually evolving the ways customers can shop with B&Q, making it faster and more convenient to access the products they need.”

TradePoint director John Morgan added that the new service would help tradespeople “spend less time collecting materials and more time focused on the job”.

It forms part of B&Q’s wider investment in fulfilment services, following the introduction of Marketplace Click + Collect, which allows customers to collect third-party marketplace products from its stores.

It also comes as parent company Kingfisher continues to prioritise growth in its trade business and digital operations.

TradePoint sales rose 5.2 per cent to £935 million in the year to January 31, accounting for 23.5 per cent of B&Q’s total sales.
