L’Oréal has reported a 7.7 per cent rise in sales to €35.34bn (£29.54bn) in the first nine months of 2026, as strong demand for fragrances, haircare and skincare helped the beauty group outperform the wider market.
Like-for-like sales increased by 6.9 per cent over the period. All four divisions grew, led by Professional Products and Dermatological Beauty, both of which recorded adjusted like-for-like growth of 12.3 per cent and 11.6 per cent respectively.
L’Oréal Luxe grew by 5.8 per cent, supported by demand for fragrances, while Consumer Products rose by 4.2 per cent.
Sales also increased across all regions. The SAPMENA-SSA region, covering South Asia Pacific, the Middle East, North Africa and sub-Saharan Africa, delivered the strongest growth at 15.8 per cent. Europe grew by 7 per cent, while North America rose by 6.3 per cent.
Online sales increased by around 17 per cent, outpacing the wider e-commerce market. The beauty giant said growth was driven mainly by higher volumes and a shift towards more premium products.
Chief executive Nicolas Hieronimus said: “The global beauty market, once again, proved its resilience in a challenging context – and we continued to significantly outpace it.”
He added that the company was now outperforming the market in skincare, alongside continued strength in haircare and fragrances.
L’Oréal has also completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Innovist, an Indian personal care group with a portfolio of digital-first brands, as it looks to expand its presence in the country.
Hieronimus said the nine-month performance gave him confidence that L’Oréal would deliver another year of sales and profit growth in 2026.
