Selfridges has launched its 2026 Christmas campaign, transforming its stores into festive cityscapes inspired by destinations around the world.

Dubbed ‘Christmas and the City’, the campaign features immersive window displays, themed dining experiences, live entertainment and exclusive brand collaborations across its London, Birmingham and Manchester stores, as well as online.

The Oxford Street flagship has unveiled 12 Christmas windows inspired by cities including New York, Paris, Tokyo, Bangkok, Rio de Janeiro, Lagos and London, alongside fictional destination Vice City.

The displays follow Santa on a journey around the world, with scenes ranging from Parisian rooftops to a Milanese aperitivo bar and a Bangkok tuk-tuk.

Selfridges chief executive André Maeder said: “Christmas and the City has been imagined by our teams to create special memories to share and to make everyone feel welcome.

“Selfridges has always moved with the energy of our cities, and this Christmas, at the heart of London, Manchester and Birmingham, we’re celebrating cities real and imagined from around the world.

“There’s no place like Selfridges at Christmas; it’s a truly unmissable experience.”

It has also opened a New York-inspired Downtown Café at its London flagship, featuring illuminated skyscrapers and a subway carriage where shoppers can dine.

Meanwhile, its Cloakroom Bar has been transformed into a Parisian cabaret venue, hosting live performances on selected Thursdays throughout November and December.

A Broadway-inspired Snow Show, featuring music, live performances and artificial snowfall, will take place at its London, Birmingham and Manchester Exchange Square stores.

The festive campaign also includes a Ralph’s Coffee pop-up on Duke Street from 26 October, alongside a new Disney experience inspired by Home Alone, featuring exclusive merchandise, themed food and immersive activations.

In Manchester, Selfridges has partnered with San Carlo Bottega to launch The Big Panettone Party at Exchange Square, combining a three-course dining experience with live music.

Selfridges commissioned artist Gary Card to create The Parakeets Have Landed, a festive installation at its Art Block space, while London-based designer Saskia Martindale has transformed its Orchard Street windows with colourful Christmas tree installations.

It is also extending the campaign beyond its stores, with New York-inspired yellow taxis taking to the streets of London and Birmingham and a branded yellow tram connecting its Manchester locations.

Alongside the experiences, the retailer has introduced its largest festive edit of gifts and partywear to date, supported by exclusive collaborations, gift wrapping and concierge services.
