Lululemon has teamed up with Danish fashion brand Ganni to launch a 22-piece collection combining activewear with the Copenhagen label’s signature designs.
The collection, which launches globally on 15 October, spans womenswear, footwear and accessories, with designs inspired by 1980s dance culture.
It brings together Lululemon’s technical fabrics, including Nulu and Softstreme, with Ganni’s leopard prints, ruffle trims and bold colour combinations.
The range includes a reworked version of Lululemon’s Define Jacket, alongside dance-inspired pieces such as leg warmers, boleros and headbands.
Ganni creative director Ditte Reffstrup said: “80s dance movies have been part of my life since I was a child, so they felt like such a natural starting point.
“I’ve always been drawn to the energy, determination and sense of freedom in those films, and the way dance becomes such a powerful form of self-expression.”

She added that the collection combined the colours and details of 1980s dancewear with Ganni’s signature styles and Lululemon’s technical expertise.
Lululemon global creative director Jonathan Cheung said: “When we first started talking about the collection, Ditte said her movement practice was dance, and everything flowed from there.
“What I love about this collection is its use of our technical materials combined with the iconic Ganni style.”
The brands have also unveiled a campaign titled ‘Joy Is a Power Move‘, starring Flashdance actor Jennifer Beals and singer and dancer Mette.
Filmed in a dance studio, the campaign draws on the aesthetic of 1980s dance films and features the pair performing together.
Beals said: “As a longtime lululemon and GANNI customer, I am so thrilled to be invited to be a small part of this incredible collaboration.”
The Ganni x Lululemon collection will be available through both brands’ websites and selected stores across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific from 15 October.
