At Mr & Mrs Smith, Lohan has been responsible for driving the company‘s digital infrastructure as well as overseeing the development of its sister brand Smith & Family, a collection of the world‘s best child-friendly and family stays.

“There are many similarities between the Notonthehighstreet.com and Mr & Mrs Smith businesses, with both sites providing a platform for small independents to connect with millions of customers around the world,” Lohan said.

“I‘m very much looking forward to joining the Board and using my experience to contribute to the company‘s future development.”

Not On The High Street chief executive Simon Belsham said: “Tamara brings with her a wealth of e-commerce knowledge, which, combined with her passion for supporting small, independent businesses and her deep understanding of tech-powered consumer brands, will add real value to the business.”

In 2014 Lohan and her husband James – with whom she founded Mr & Mrs Smith – were awarded MBEs for services to the British travel industry.
