Nike names new chief sustainability officer

Nike has named Noel Kinder has is new chief sustainability officer.

The role is a promotion for Kinder, who has worked with Nike for 19 years, who will replace fellow Nike veteran Hannah Jones, who has also been promoted to the role of Nike Valiant Labs president.

Kinder was most recently vice president for sustainable manufacturing.

Other roles he has held at the sportswear giant includes general manager of Nike’s operations in Vietnam.

He will report to Nike chief operating officer Eric Sprunk and advanced innovation president Tom Clarke.

“We have made incredible progress over the last decade, and I’m excited to see Noel build on the leadership and change Hannah has helped define,” Nike chairman and chief executive Mark Parker said.

“In this new area, Hannah will play an important role as we look to innovate and disrupt our own models in this next phase of our growth.”
