Earlier this year Nike saw sales nudge up in its third quarter, beating expectations.

Revenues rised marginally to £9.6bn for the quarter ending 29 February, driven by growth across North America, Greater China, and APLA. But in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, revenue fell 3% to £2.3bn.

Back in February, the sportswear titan revealed plans to cut nearly 2% of its total workforce as part of its wider plan of achieving £1.6bn in cost savings over the next three years.
