The former buying director at BHS has joined the senior ranks of Asda as senior buying director for George.

Mary-Kate Campbell replaces Helen Connolly, who took on the role of chief executive of Bonmarché last month.

Prior to her move to Asda‘s clothing range, Campbell worked at BHS for less than one year before the retailer‘s closure in August. She left in July.

Before that, she was at Primark for three years as womenswear buying controller.

She also has eight years worth of experience with Marks & Spencer in buying roles.
