Primark has opened its first ever store in Cornwall, bringing the number of stores in the UK to 174.

The retail space boasts 34,000sq ft of shopping space spread over two floors. 

The store was announced two years ago and has been highly-anticipated by locals, marking its opening day with a visit from Truro mayor Rob Nolan.

Other new store openings this year include York, Dublin, Paris, Amsterdam, Burlington, Brescia and Hamburg.

“Primark is delighted to announce the opening of its new store in Truro, in Lemon Quay, on Thursday 10th November at 10am,” a Primarl spokeswoman said.

“The new store will create 160 new jobs and will cover 34,800sq ft (retail).

“Primark looks forward to offering amazing fashion at amazing prices to the people of Truro and its surrounding areas.”
